Fredon Township School is a Pre K–6th grade school located in beautiful, rural Sussex County. Recognizing that children are the future, the mission of the Fredon Township School District is to support, encourage, and challenge all students by providing a positive educational foundation. Their highly qualified teaching staff takes pride in offering a rigorous curriculum while addressing the needs of all students.

Paulinskill Valley Trail

The Paulinskill Valley Trail follows a creek by the same name through a section of rural New Jersey with a strong German influence. German refugees from European wars settled along the Paulins Kill during the Colonial period, and their influence survives in communities along the 27-mile trail. Visitors will see plentiful wildlife, such as bear, bobcat, mink, and deer, along the path, and sightings of more than 100 species of birds have been documented. Fishing is also available.

Lodestar Park

This park, which comprises approximately 81 acres, is located at the northwest corner of Route 94 and Stillwater Road, across from the municipal complex and Fredon Township School. The park currently contains a multi-purpose field used for both soccer and football, a smaller soccer field, a “Little League” baseball field, a softball field, a basketball court within the paved parking lot, a sand volleyball court, a playground and a walking trail.
